Basketball tournament open for registration
The “Hotshot Men’s Basketball Tournament” is open for registration and will take place at the Ute Mountain Recreation Center, Feb. 21-22. The entry fee for the double-elimination tournament is $175, and rosters are limited to eight players.
Registration is limited to 16 teams, and prizes will be awarded to teams that finish in the top three. For more information, call or text Jon at 970-560-6932.
M-CHS Booster Club plans pie auction
The Montezuma-Cortez High School Booster Club will host its annual pie auction on Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. Individuals who attend will receive a free bowl of chili and the opportunity to bid on their favorite desserts.
“Black-Out” T-shirts will be available for $7 and fry bread will be sold. Those who wear a “Black-Out” T-shirt to the basketball games between M-CHS and Durango on Feb. 10 will be admitted free.
