Mancos Valley Resources continues to grow as the fiscal sponsor of dozens of successful community-based projects and mini-grant recipients. Our sponsored projects span a wide and interwoven spectrum, and we are so pleased with their ongoing success. Some of our sponsored projects include:

The historic Kennedy Family grain elevator, recognized by the state of Colorado's Endangered Places Program.

The revitalization of the Mancos Common Press and the historic Mancos Times Building.

The Pay It Forward Fund, which provided emergency financial relief to numerous Mancos residents in 2014.

The Montezuma School to Farm Project, serving students across Montezuma County in learning about our agricultural heritage

The re-opening of the Painted Turtle Studio, a community art center where young and old can explore their creativity

The Mancos Valley Chorus, bringing cheer to our community with their vibrant annual concerts.

The Montezuma Orchard Restoration Project, working to preserve Montezuma County's fruit growing heritage.

The producer-operated Southwest Farm Fresh Cooperative, distributing our locally grown produce and other products to markets across Southwest Colorado.

From 2013 to 2014, MVR has more than doubled its pass-through funds as the fiscal sponsor of over 20 community projects and mini-grant recipients. In 2015 we welcome a new administrator, Kellie Pettyjohn, who will support us in our continued ability to invest in these projects that shape our community.

In the coming months, stay tuned for information on upcoming events such as a grant writing workshop and the 2015 Community Summit, hosted in partnership with the Town of Mancos and the Mancos Valley Chamber of Commerce.
