Clara McNeil was serving up beef with barley soup Monday and the Mancos Senior Center and was thankful for the community.
The senior center announced it was $600 short of its funding goal last year and asked for help.
"We are pleased the community stepped up to help," McNeil said.
McNeil said they got enough to keep going.
Seniors meet inside the Masonic Lodge, 141 E. Montezuma in Mancos on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. On Wednesdays, they play Bingo, and there's always entertainment.
