I felt I must reply to Catherine Spencer’s letter (Journal, Dec. 5) concerning the Michael Brown incident.
She seems to be well informed on the facts of Brown’s family life and although not mentioned, his long history of being a thug! Where did she get that information? If it was from a network news station it may not be quite accurate as they do tend to “color the facts” to lure the viewer. One must be careful not to form opinions based entirely on that or as her wall plaque says she may prove herself a fool.
I was taught as a child that we should respect our lawmen as it is their duty to protect and serve. I certainly hope her opinion was not based on the color of his skin.
