Protesters were a reminder of Vietnam

Well here we go again — I recognized the protesters at Colorado Highways 145 and 184. A similar group was on the Golden Gate Bridge in 1969 welcoming us back from Vietnam.

Regardless of our view of that conflict, it was clear to me those protesting in 1969 had no respect for soldiers serving their country.

Same with the protest on Highway 145 and 184. No respect for our neighbors in blue who go to work every day to keep anarchy from or front door.

I know someone in our community is helped in a positive way by our law enforcement every day, maybe there could be a little front page space for them. Also maybe some front page space for soldiers returning to our community.

Just the thoughts of an old man.
