Last year, some 100 holiday toys were donated to the Piñon project via a local business partnership. Event organizer Brittny Weir hopes more holiday cheer can be spread this year.
“It’s a great honor to be able to give back to and help those in need in the community that I was raised in,” said Weir.
Accepted through December 11, new or like new unwrapped toys and coats should be delivered to C&G Healthcare, located on the corner of Mildred and Main. Cash donations are also welcome.
Items of need include coats, hats, gloves, hygiene kits. movies, mp3 players and books for children 12 years or older.
