I would like to take this means to thank the voters of Montezuma County for their support, prayers and votes in the recent election. In turn I promise to do my best to execute the job of commissioner to the best of my ability to all the county. I would like to thank Mr. Utrup, my opponent in the election, for his gentlemanly conduct of the campaign. I have since learned of some health problems he suffered during the campaign and I wish him a full recovery. I would like to thank Commissioner Chappell for a job well done during his tenure as a commissioner. I have had the privilege to observe the commission in action over the last several months and I have come to realize that he is leaving some big shoes to be filled. His experience as a commissioner will be greatly missed. I am thankful to have the privilege of trying to fill his shoes as a commissioner and pray for divine guidance in working to do so.
