Montezuma-Cortez High School senior Naomi Pinnecoose has been chosen to participate in the Colorado Coaches of Girls’ Sports (CCCGS) All-State Volleyball Games.

Pinnecoose’s selection comes after a 2014 season during which the senior had 348 kills, 291 digs, 49 aces and 38 blocks. Pinnecoose ranked sixth in in kills and 14th in aces in Colorado’s 4A Class.

In addition to her stellar statistics, Pinnecoose was selected to participate in the CCCGS All-State Games based on her talent, dedication, team play and leadership. Ten players from each of Colorado’s five classifications were selected to participate. The Class 4A game will take place in Arvada, Colo., on Nov. 16.

“Naomi is one of those girls who can wake everyone up,” said M-CHS head coach Andi Pickens earlier this season. “She meant everything to us.”
