I want to give thanks to all the Cortes P.D., but especially to detective Tom Quinnett and officers Glen Edwards and Boyd Neagle for helping a wheelchair-bound citizen.
These dear men helped by loading a wheelchair that lost its charge into a police truck and took me home. Not enough credit is given to these officers, who put their life on the line every day!
When officer Dal Claxton was shot and killed in the line of duty, I was a school bus driver, and I remember it to this day.
Let’s give the CPD a hearty pat on the back. They deserve it.
You may criticize and say they make mistakes, but so does John Q. Public, and these officers have to straighten us out. Enough said!
