Hello to everyone in Mancos.

Bill and I are very busy getting settled in Bahia de Kino. We have no phone service yet or internet access at our home. It's an adventure trying to stay connected with family and friends. But, it is time to say thank you and show some appreciation for the folks we left behind in Mancos.

The Mancos Valley Arts Council presented me with a beautiful gift by Patricia Burk. Most of you have probably seen the photograph of Point Lookout that hangs in the Mancos Valley Bank. It is one of my favorite photos, and now I have a copy to help me remember Mancos and the magnificent Mesa Verde. Thank you to all the people who helped make my exit from Mancos so lovely and memorable.

A very special thank you goes out to Pat Janz and Lori Elworthy of Coldwell Banker for the terrific "adios" party they put together for me and Bill at the Columbine. Betsy Harrison, Pete and Holly Cruz as well as the rest of the crew at the 'Bine deserve a note of appreciation too . what a great place for a party. Bill and I had a terrific time connecting with friends.

The Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce gave me a beautiful plate created by a friend of mine, Deb Anderson who is one of the Mancos Artisans. It makes a beautiful addition to my collection of art glass. Thank you so much.

There are some dear friends and neighbors who hung in there with us and helped us load the U-Haul truck. There is no "thank you" sufficient to show our true appreciation to Matt and Linda from Fahrenheit Coffee. They spent the good part of two days helping us load. The task would not have been completed in that time-frame without their loyal and consistent help. Don Janz and his son Dalton gave us a big jump start with the packing on Wednesday evening. A long-time friend, Melanie Dressing and her sister Denise were there for two days helping me pack and clean as we went along.what a huge help. Sunny Gale and John showed up just in time to help us put the finishing touches on the U-Haul and start loading the two vehicles. WOW!!! We got it all done with a lot of help from our friends.

THANK YOU MANCOS.
