Make Cortez more pedestrian friendly

Main Street needs three more crosswalks. From East to West, I think they are needed between the Holiday Inn Express and Kentucky Fried Chicken, between the Giant just North of Walmart and the Econolodge, and between the Rodeway Inn and Dairy Queen/J Fargo/Pizza Hut.

All three of these areas have very heavy pedestrian crossings and they are all an unreasonable distance from a proper crossing when on foot. And a lot of the jaywalkers are tourists, we have an obligation to keep them safe when they choose to walk across the street from their hotel to Denny’s or the convenience store.

Cortez can and should be a pedestrian friendly town, white stripes and a sign don’t cost much at all, and they go along way toward making a place tourist friendly.
