Ute Mountain wraps up fall season

The Ute Mountain High School rodeo team wrapped up its fall season in Elizabeth, Colo., Sept. 27-28.

Leading the way for the Ute Mountain Team was Ty Mattaush, who finished first in bull riding on Sept. 27.

Also finishing in the top-five were Tormie Pitman, who placed second in goat tying on Sept. 27 and Maddie Shaline, who placed fifth in breakaway roping on Sept. 28. Shaline placed sixth in pole bending on Sept. 27.

Other top finishers included Shelby Fullmer, who placed in goat tying on both days, and Cammie Maxwell, who placed seventh in barrel racing on Sept. 28.

With the fall portion of their season now complete, members of the Ute Mountain Rodeo Team will break for the winter before returning to action in April.

The High School State Finals will take place May 21-25 of 2015.
