Nov. 4 election right around the corner

Mail-in ballots for the Nov. 4 general election will be sent to active registered voters to the address on their voter registration beginning the week of Oct. 12. To update your address or to register, visit www.GoVoteColorado.com or the county clerk's office, 140 W. Main St., Suite 1, Cortez.

After receiving a ballot, voters may drop it off at the clerk's office or sign the back of the return envelope, add postage and mail it. There will also be a ballot drop at the Dolores and Mancos libraries on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Montezuma County will have three polling centers where voters may vote in person, update records, , request a replacement ballot, and register to vote. One will be at the clerk's office, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24 and Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dolores and Mancos will have drop-off locations on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Dolores Public Library, 1002 Railroad Ave., and the Mancos Public Library from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Signed ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 4 to be counted.
