Mark Redwine has entered foreclosure on his Vallecito home. He is the father of Dylan Redwine, the teenager whose remains were found eight months after he went missing Nov. 19, 2012.

Preliminary documentation for the foreclosure of Redwine’s property in the Happy Scenes subdivision in Vallecito was submitted earlier this week, according to La Plata County records.

Authorities have executed at least two search warrants at the home looking for clues to Dylan’s disappearance. In January 2013, about 20 demonstrators gathered outside Mark Redwine’s home demanding he be more cooperative with search efforts for his son.

Redwine told police that the last time he saw Dylan was the morning of Nov. 19 as Mark Redwine was leaving the home to go run errands.

La Plata County Sheriff Duke Schirard declined to say if the foreclosure would affect the 2-year-old investigation.

According to La Plata County records, the status of the foreclosure is listed as “notice of election and demand,” or NED. The paperwork has been filed with the county Clerk and Recorder’s Office, meaning the foreclosure process has officially begun.
