Two in the first and four in the second, the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers beat the Bayfield Wolverines’ boys soccer team 6-1 on Tuesday night in Cortez.
Sam Kundrik assisted Colton Fine’s first-half goal for Bayfield High School (0-2). That duo combined for a similar goal and assist in the Wolverines’ 5-1 season-opening loss to Crested Butte.
Montezuma-Cortez is 3-1.
