Kicking off its season at the Steamboat Springs Tournament, Aug. 28-30, the Montezuma-Cortez High School volleyball team won three of four matches.
Opening the tournament against Glenwood Springs on Aug. 28, the Panthers won 25-17, 32-30.
The Panthers next played on Aug. 29, defeating Frontier Academy in two sets, 25-21, 25-20.
On Aug. 30, the Panthers played two matches, losing to Erie 25-14, 26-28, 17-15 and defeating Lutheran 25-23, 25-21. With their record now at 3-1 on the season, the Panthers next play at Bayfield on Sept. 2.
