We have many activities coming up that carry us through the fall and winter seasons as well as spring.

This is a good opportunity to remind everyone that there is a community calendar available online. It is easy to use and is free. If you are planning a meeting, a workshop, an art exhibit, a class, or performing arts event, you may post that event at the Chamber of Commerce website.

If you are involved with the schools and have some special events coming up, or perhaps you are a member of one of our very active church communities, think about using the calendar to let everyone know what you are doing for the community.

The calendar will not post sales events for businesses. However, if a business is having a special event like entertainment, that can be posted on the calendar. If in doubt, call the Chamber at (970) 533-7434 and get clarification.

If you wish to post an event, it is simple and easy:

Go to www.chamber@mancosvalley.com

Click on "Events," on upper left of page

Click on "Suggest Event," also on upper left of page

A template will pop up. You fill that out with all your information and click on submit. Your event will come to the Chamber of Commerce for review and approval. Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email from the Chamber of Commerce.

The hope is that the community calendar helps everyone plan their events and avoid conflict with other community organizations and their activities. The community calendar might open opportunities for people to expand their events through collaboration. Perhaps two events that are complementary can be scheduled for the same date and thus enhance the experience for everyone who participates.
