I so want to honor Jesus Christ and all HE has orchestrated in bringing together such wonderful people and entities to help meet the needs of children within the Cortez, Dolores, and Mancos communities.

I want to express my deepest thanks to all those who participated in our 2nd Annual Back2School Bash on August 7th. This is our second year organizing a Mission’s Outreach to the children in our communities who need just a little extra to help them prepare for their return to school as well as making the children and parents aware of the discipleship opportunities for those children that are in each church represented. We were able to help give 240 backpacks with basic school supplies, 76 haircuts, and Samaritan’s Feet was able to give over 241 pairs of brand new shoes.

I am simply amazed! I was so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love by all those who participated with us this year. Joining Community of Believers/CCRT (Zandra Hart) was Evangel Assembly of God (Jeff McDonell), First Assembly of God (Ted Britain), Seventh Day Adventist (Steve Gillham). First Baptist Mancos (Rick Gregory), Lifeway Baptist (Marsha Roberts), Pinion Project (Kelly Unrein), Samaritan’s Feet - Southwest Colorado (Richard Miller), Montezuma Health Department, the Ballantine Family Fund, the Fort Lewis College Women’s Soccer Team, First Baptist of Durango, and the Antique Corral (Cheryl. Countless hairdressers: The Sheer Shack (Christina, Jenna, Krysten), Hair Headquarters (Monica, Amy), Essence Salon (Mandy), Hair After (Jennifer), Pueblo Community College Cosmetologists (Brenda and ladies), and the Cortez Journal for the wonderful graphics, articles (Mary Shinn), and photos (Sam Green).

And, last but not least, all the volunteers who distributed backpacks, directed people, and did face painting on the children. My prayer is that you will see abundant fruit for all you did. May God richly bless each of you! Advancing the Kingdom of God with You, Zandra Hart Pastor of Community of Believers.

Zandra Hart,

Cortez
