Tee Cup golf tourney open for registration

The Conquistador Women’s Golf Association is currently accepting registrations for the 24th Mesa Verde Tee Cup Invitational golf tournament. The tournament will take place at Conquistador Golf Course on Aug. 12 and is open to female players 18 and older with an active USGA-GHIN Handicap or USGA approved Handicap less than 40.

The tournament entry fee is 72 dollars and includes admission to a cocktail party, breakfast, green fees, a cart and range balls. For more information, email Justina at ajwhited@qwestoffice.net

Football camp to take place in Dolores

A free football camp will take place at Dolores High School, Aug. 5-7. Registration will take place at the Dolores High School football field at 8:30 a.m.

The camp is for players entering the sixth, seventh and eighth grades.

Free admission to state parks Monday

Colorado Parks and Wildlife will join the celebration of Colorado’s acceptance into statehood with free access to all Colorado State Parks Monday, Aug. 4.

Colorado was first recognized as a state Aug. 1, 1876. The first Colorado State Park emerged 80 years later.

Park entrance fees are waived, but activities like fishing and camping will still require a valid license and permit. For more information, visit http://cpw.state.co.us.
