Art Beat: Days of thunder, nights of music

The pyrotechnics of these afternoon thunderstorms never cease to amaze.

They were rivaled only by the bombastic display of fireworks on the Fourth of July at Boyle Park, which I caught as I descended Mancos Hill on a drive home from Hesperus.

In our rural corner of the country here in Mancos, we have our own bustling art scene, which grows with each day, each new painting, sculpture, poem and song. Happy summer folks. May it be artful.
