1:32 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle theft in the 2200 block of Hawkins Street.

Tuesday, Feb. 16

4:10 p.m. A protection order violation was reported in the 25500 block of County Road T.5. A man attempted to contact a woman who had a protection order against him through Facebook.

Thursday, Feb. 18

8:08 p.m. A man was trespassed from a property in the 27900 block of County Road T. His vehicle was stuck in the snow on the property, and the owner requested he be trespassed.

4:42 p.m. A car dolly was reported stolen in the 18300 block of Colorado Highway 145, Dolores. The theft is being investigated.

Friday, Feb. 19

5:25 p.m. Two male inmates were issued summons on suspicion of third degree assault at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. The inmates were involved in a physical altercation.

Saturday, Feb. 20

2:19 p.m. A break-in in progress was reported in the 33900 block of County Road M. A drunken man was apprehended and removed from the property.

Tuesday, Feb. 23

10:08 p.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 25400 block of County Road F.

Wednesday, Feb. 24

10:02 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI in the 11600 block of Colorado Highway 145.

Thursday, Feb. 25

9:25 a.m. Two firearms were reported missing or stolen in the 12900 block of County Road 38.

2:05 p.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 23600 block of County Road L.

Friday, Feb. 26

12:40 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and leaving the scene of a crash in the 12000 block of U.S. Highway 491.

5:34 a.m. A disturbance was reported in the 25800 block of U.S. Highway 491. An investigation determined the disturbance was verbal, and no charges were filed.

11:14 a.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 22400 block of County Road L.

Saturday, Feb. 27

10:09 a.m. A rollover crash occurred in the 27900 block of Colorado Highway 184. There were no injuries, and the scene was cleared.

2:16 p.m. A man was arrested on two active warrants in the 7800 block of County Road 25.

Monday, March 1

9:03 a.m. An excavator caught fire in the 15800 block of County Road 25. The vehicle was plugged into a battery tender then caught fire.

11:12 a.m. A gold wallet was found outside Dolores Elementary School, 1301 Central Avenue. The owner could not be immediately contacted.

12:23 p.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 6600 block of County Road 24.8.

3:27 p.m. Unemployment fraud was reported at Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St.

4:05 p.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 11500 block of County Road 42.

8:28 p.m. A woman was arrested in connection with a report of road rage in the 33000 block of U.S. Highway 160. The female driver was allegedly speeding and driving aggressively, bumping the car in front of her and refusing to pass. She was apprehended by Cortez Police Department where she attempted to escape and kick an officer.

Tuesday, March 2

9:40 a.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 13300 block of County Road 21.

9:52 a.m. An animal-abuse complaint was investigated in the 267600 block of County Road R. The investigation determined the complaint was unfounded.

1:49 p.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 15800 block of County Road 31.
