Local communities bear immigration burden

In the Journal’s July 8 editorial on immigration you did not mention how many of the individuals that have come into this country illegally you will be offering your home to. I am sure you would not criticize others for not welcoming the buses full of illegal immigrants into their communities unless you are willing to do this yourself. Lead by example.

Most small towns are overwhelmed as it is, with helping their own citizens who have fallen on hard times. No one is talking about how over-burdened our foster care system is.

What about those kids? I do agree we need to provide the basic needs for these individuals, and we can’t turn a blind eye to the situation, but it’s not right to burden our communities.

They are not the ones who created this problem.
