The For Pets’ Sake annual membership drive is in full steam right now! For Pets’ Sake Humane Society is a steady and dependable source of assistance for pets and their families. For Pets’ Sake has helped many folks in Montezuma and Dolores counties with veterinary bills, food for dogs and cats when things get tight, aid in finding lost pets, a small foster program that rehomes dogs and cats, a larger assistance program that helps pet owners find new homes for their pets by advertising, promoting and offering guidance.

For Pets’ Sake also has a trap-neuter-release program that assists property owners in humanely dealing with feral cats. For Pets’ Sake provides continual assistance with spay-neuter clinics in Towaoc and provides spay-neuter financial assistance within the Four Corners area.

In addition, many other animal emergencies are solved with the help of the many dedicated volunteers of the For Pets’ Sake organization! We have our wonderful members to thank for much of what we are able to accomplish.

The community’s financial support is crucial to our volunteer’s ability to assist you with your pet needs.

For Pets’ Sake functions with volunteers only; there is no paid staff! You can be sure that your dollars stay local and directly benefit the animals. Our budget typically spends about 5 percent on necessary costs (for fundraising, licensing and supplies, etc.), and 95 percent of funds go directly to the animals.

If you have been thinking about giving to help the animals in our area, now is the perfect time!

Find our membership application on-line at www.forpetssakehs.org, at the Cortez Public Library, or call (970) 565-PETS (7387) and we will be happy to mail you a membership brochure.

Thank you for considering a membership with For Pets’ Sake. The animals will thank you more!
