Theft

Sunday June 29

8:22 p.m. A man was arrested a few minutes after a cell phone in Wal-mart was stolen because he matched the description of the suspect. He was taken to jail, but after the officer spoke to the man, it was discovered he hadn’t taken the phone.

Assault

Saturday June 28

1:14 a.m. Three men were arrested after a fight outside Angel’s End Zone Sports Bar. One man was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

Menacing

Saturday June 28

9:47 p.m. A man was arrested after threatening his wife with a knife. She told the police that he tried to puncture the tires as she was trying to drive away. The police report noted that it looked as though a knife had chipped and scratched a window of her car.

Theft

Thursday June 26

2:49 a.m. A car was broken into on the 900 block of North Edith Street. The woman who reported the crime said the car locks had been tampered with and someone had taken her purse.

Disturbing the peace

Thursday June 26

1:15 a.m. A man was arrested after he was caught urinating at Wal-mart. The man had been asked to leave earlier that night when he was found sleeping on a bench with an empty bottle of Listerine near him.
