Wednesday, Jan. 20

11:26 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of theft, posting private images for harassment and domestic violence in the 800 block of South Chestnut Street. The man allegedly stole a woman’s phone then sent private photos of her to Facebook contacts.

6:39 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of following too closely in the 800 block of East Second Street. She allegedly rear-ended another vehicle when it stopped unexpectedly.

Thursday, Jan. 21

4:51 a.m. A man turned himself in on a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

11:47 a.m. About 22 windows were broken at Caulkins School, 121 E. First St. On Jan. 26, a sign was also spray-painted.

1:53 p.m. A woman turned herself in on a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

2:40 p.m. A cat bit a woman on the wrist in the 2700 block of Golf Course Drive. She agreed to confine the cat.

3:41 p.m. A cold hit-and-run crash was reported in the 1800 block of East Main Street.

8:34 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of unsafe backing and failure to provide proof of insurance in the 200 block of East Seventh Street. She allegedly backed into a vehicle that was driving past.

Friday, Jan. 22

2:07 p.m. A vehicle was damaged in the 200 block of North Edith Street.

4:04 p.m. A man turned himself in on a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

6:49 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a schedule two narcotics, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and displaying expired registration and his driver’s license was suspended and confiscated during a traffic stop in the 400 block of East Main Street.

Saturday, Jan. 23

3:04 p.m. An officer crashed a department vehicle into a private vehicle while attempting to enter traffic in the 300 block of West Empire Street.

6:54 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant during a traffic stop in the 1400 block of East Main Street.

Sunday, Jan. 24

9:03 a.m. A man was cited on suspicion of exceeding safe speeds for conditions in the 700 block of South Broadway. His vehicle allegedly slid on the snow when attempting to slow down and crashed into another vehicle.

4:52 p.m. Burglary was reported in the 2600 block of Fairway Drive. Cash, medications, electronics and jewelry were stolen from a safe, and a security camera was unplugged. It is suspected that a person known to the resident was involved and an investigation is ongoing.

10:20 p.m. A man turned himself in on a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Monday, Jan. 25

9:21 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, operating an uninsured vehicle, driving with a license under restraint, habitually driving with a revoked license and careless driving in the 2200 block of East Main Street. He allegedly crashed his vehicle into another vehicle and was suspected of being under the influence.

11:35 a.m. A vehicle window was broken in the 2500 block of East Main Street. It may have been shot out with a BB gun.

1:13 p.m. Items were stolen from a charitable collection bin in the 1900 block of South Broadway. The lock was cut from the bin.

2:25 p.m. Shoplifting was reported in the 400 block of North State Street. A suspect will be served with a summons when available.

4:38 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of failing to drive in a single lane, careless driving, failure to notify police of an accident and leaving the scene without providing required information in the 1100 block of South Chestnut Street. She allegedly crashed into a fence and fled the scene.

Tuesday, Jan. 26

7:58 a.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign in the 200 block of North Chestnut Street. Her vehicle allegedly slid in the snow when attempting to stop and crashed into another vehicle.

1:10 p.m. A traffic collision was reported in the 1300 block of East Montezuma Avenue. A vehicle slid in the snow and struck another vehicle.

7:01 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of harassment in the 500 block of South Madison Street. Neighbors complained that children were knocking on their doors. The woman allegedly began harassing the neighbors.
