The historic Ski Dallas lodge is located between Placerville and Ridgway on Colorado Highway 62.

Shots fired from a vehicle has happened twice in 10 days this month in the Telluride area, reports the San Miguel County Sheriff.

The Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help on the incidents that occurred Jan. 8 on U.S. Highway 145, and Jan. 18 on Colorado Highway 62.

A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person or persons involved in the Jan. 18 incident.

According to a sheriff Facebook post, around 11:50 p.m. four to six shots fired from an unknown vehicle traveling south on Colorado 62 at about mile marker nine near the former Ski Dallas resort.

There were no injuries, but there was a report of property damage. Bullet casings were found at the scene.

Witness reports indicate a suspect vehicle has a louder than normal exhaust, according to the sheriff’s report.
