Cronk got off lightly, ‘people of color’ do not

I couldn’t believe former Undersheriff Cronk was allowed to get off after his 15 felony count with a mere 30 days jail time of his choice! As “people of color,” we should be able to choose which “glamor slammers” to be locked up at!

Actually, I take that back. Oh yes! I do believe that’s how justice works in this part of the United States especially when U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder stated recently that a report by the U.S. Sentencing Commission “indicated that in recent years, African-American men have received sentences that are nearly 20 percent longer than those imposed on white males convicted of similar crimes. Another report showed that American Indians are often sentenced even more harshly ... and ... a criminal justice system that treats groups of people differently — and punishes them unequally — has a much more negative impact than misguided words.”!

So there you have it folks! In the first place, I strongly doubt if Sheriff Spruell would’ve appointed him if Cronk were an American Indian! And didn’t you hear Cliven Bundy’s followers were right next door to us in southeast Utah very recently? That’s who law enforcers nationwide ought to watch for especially after what took place in Las Vegas a few days ago!
