Kiwanis Youth Fishing Tournament at Groundhog Lake for youths 16 and under. No fee. For first 30 that register: Power bait, night crawlers, lake sinkers, hooks, and a nylon fishing stringer. Registration: 7:30 am to 9:30 am, weigh-in at 1:00 p.m. Prizes.

Music in the Mountains – Jazz in the Movies. The concert will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Church, 419 San Juan Drive, featuring local musicians Chad MacCluskey, Elizabeth Riordan, Jack Maynes and Jonathan Latta. Blues, swing, jazz and dancing with WE-3, featuring Tony Littlejohn, Herb Folsom, Cat Hill and special guest trumpeter Bob Newnan at 7-9 p.m. at the Cortez Cultural Center’s opening summer season of music, downtown Cortez.

The 4 Corners Beekeepers Association’s monthly meeting is at 6 p.m. at the Florida Baptist Church on U.S. 160 near Elmore’s. Guest speaker is from the local Master Gardeners Club. Everyone is invited.

June 19

Learn about beekeeping and beehives at the Mancos Public Library at 6 p.m. This program will explore the current plight of bees and showcase the new colony of bees at the library.
