Wednesday, Dec. 16

12:27 a.m. Several men were involved in a physical altercation in the 400 block of South Cedar Street. Two men were separated, and a firearm and knife not involved in the altercation were confiscated. The alleged victim declined to press charges. A third man who was unconscious when police arrived was taken to the hospital. Instructions were left that he be arrested for protection order violation once medically cleared. A woman he was protected against lived in a neighboring apartment.

10:02 a.m. A $100 counterfeit bill was reported in the 70 block of West Main Street. It will be turned over to the Secret Service.

1:17 p.m. Fraud was reported in the 1600 block of Tucker Court. A man’s identity may have been used to file a fraudulent unemployment claim.

1:19 p.m. A man was cited for protection order violation due to consuming alcohol in the 1100 block of East Main Street.

1:38 p.m. Fraud was reported in the 1600 block of Tucker Court. A woman’s identity was used to file a fraudulent unemployment claim.

5:28 p.m. A physical altercation was reported in the 500 block of East Arbecam Avenue. A man was allegedly harassing people and became involved in a physical altercation with another man. The parties involved decided not to press charges for the fight or for a protection order violation.

Thursday, Dec. 17

12:03 a.m. A possible assault was reported in the 200 block of East Seventh Street. An investigation could not corroborate any assault or break-in, but drugs and drug paraphernalia were confiscated from the residence.

6:58 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of felony vehicular eluding, reckless driving, speeding, driving with a canceled license and operating an uninsured and unregistered vehicle in the 20 block of South Broadway. A man riding a motorcycle failed to pull over for a traffic stop and eluded police for several miles before being stopped.

Friday, Dec. 18

1:54 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault on a peace officer, domestic violence, child abuse, harassment, third-degree criminal trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 600 block of South Broadway. A verbal altercation with his girlfriend led to the man allegedly pushing her, throwing and breaking several items, and him barricading himself inside a bathroom. A child was present during the altercation. After being arrested, he wrapped a seatbelt around his neck until he passed out. He was removed from the car and began breathing again. A variety of drug paraphernalia was found at the scene. After being medically cleared, he was also served with a warrant for failure to appear.

10:08 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of running a red light in the 2200 block of East Main Street. She crashed into another vehicle in the intersection.

12:58 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of failure to yield in the 1200 block of East Main Street. The driver allegedly pulled out in front of another vehicle and caused a crash.

1:14 p.m. A $100 and a $50 counterfeit bill were reported in the 1800 block of East Main Street. They will be turned over to the Secret Service.

4:38 p.m. A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado was reported stolen in the 700 block of East Third Street. It was later located near Teec Nos Pos, Arizona.

5:31 p.m. Found passports were located in a donation bin at Methodist Thrift Shop, 444 E. Main St. They were turned over to Passport Services CLASP.

8:22 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant for failure to comply and four warrants for failure to appear during a traffic stop in the 400 block of South Cedar Street.

11:32 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, driving without a valid license and driving with a broken headlight in the 1700 block of East Main Street. The driver was initially pulled over for the broken headlight. He was released to a sober person.

Saturday, Dec. 19

7:20 a.m. A vehicle break-in was reported in the 400 block of South Park Drive. Cash was taken and the steering column and ignition were damaged.

Sunday, Dec. 20

1:14 a.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary, menacing, first-degree criminal trespass, harassment and domestic violence in the 600 block of Wyoming Street. The woman was involved in an altercation with her ex-girlfriend and allegedly brandished a knife and made threats.

4:01 p.m. A vehicle collision was reported in the 200 block of South Sligo Street. Because of lack of damage and conflicting stories, neither driver was cited.

Monday Dec. 21

8:33 a.m. Fraud was reported in the 100 block of West Main Street. A man’s identity was used to file a fraudulent unemployment claim.

8:55 a.m. A man was cited on suspicion of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct in the area of East Montezuma Street. The man kicked a door and was yelling obscenities at a woman.

Tuesday, Dec. 22

11:31 a.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant out of Texas for probation violation on child neglect charges in the 800 block of East Empire Street.

2:16 p.m. Fraud was reported in the 100 block of West Main Street. A woman’s identity was used to file a fraudulent unemployment claim.
