Wednesday, Nov. 25

12:39 p.m. A wallet was lost at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. The wallet was turned in, but the owner reported cash was missing.

4:11 p.m. Shoplifting was reported in the 1600 block of East Main Street. The male suspect was not immediately identified.

5:53 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault in the 1800 block of East Main Street. A verbal altercation turned physical, and a man was stabbed in the abdomen. A woman was also injured. She was arrested on an unrelated warrant.

Thursday, Nov. 26

5:48 p.m. A warrant was issued for a man on suspicion of retaliation against a witness or victim, second-degree assault, false imprisonment, stalking, violation of bond conditions, violation of a protection order and criminal mischief in the 1400 block of Acoma Street. A man allegedly assaulted a woman, breaking her arm, slapping and kicking her, pulling her hair out, pulling her earrings out of her ears and fighting her to the ground.

Friday, Nov. 27

3 p.m. A citation was issued for a man on suspicion of assault in the 500 block of South Madison Street. The man barged into an apartment uninvited, demanded a ride and tried to fight the residents. He allegedly bit one man on the face about five times. He kicked out a bedroom window screen and fled the scene. The same man was allegedly involved in an assault against a woman the previous day and has four active arrest warrants.

Saturday, Nov. 28

2:02 a.m. A man was cited on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, careless driving, failure to provide insurance and open container in the 1800 block of Main Street. The man was allegedly hitting shopping carts with his vehicle and then drove toward Mancos.

2:36 p.m. A woman hit another vehicle damaging side mirrors on both vehicles in the 40 block of East Main Street. Officers observed that the hit vehicle was parked too close to the roadway. No citations were issued.

7:28 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of bond violations for drinking alcohol in the 400 block of South Cedar Street.

Sunday, Nov. 29

3:10 p.m. A man was cited for driving with a suspended license after a crash in the 700 block of East Main Street. The man claimed his tire blew out, causing him to crash into a fire hydrant and two poles. Witnesses said the driver ran a red light.

Monday, Nov. 30

4:01 p.m. A woman crashed her vehicle into a building when attempting to park in the 700 block of South Broadway. She said she didn’t know why the vehicle accelerated while parking.

5:45 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of careless driving in the 2500 block of East Main Street. She said her foot slipped on the brake pedal and her vehicle rear-ended another vehicle.

6:44 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief and domestic violence in the 30 block of South Ash Street. The man tried to break into his ex-girlfriend’s residence and made threats. He was uncooperative during arrest.

Tuesday, Dec. 1

2:04 p.m. A shed was broken into in the 100 block of East Seventh Street.

6:06 p.m. A hit-and-run crash occurred in the 1700 block of East Main Street. The suspected run-vehicle was located, but the officer was unable to determine which of the three men who had been seen in the vehicle was the driver.

7:11 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic abuse in the 600 block of Alameda Drive. A man and woman were involved in a physical altercation. The man had red marks on his head and said the woman had struck him.
