I am alive today because of the unselfish acts of a few people from the Cortez and Durango areas. I suffered a severe heart attack on the evening of May 2 while driving in the vicinity of Cortez, CO. I want to express my gratitude to those who performed CPR on me on the side of the road, the EMT personnel who kept me alive during the trip to Southwest Memorial Hospital and the Flight For Life aircrew that transported me to Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango. I don’t know your names, but please consider yourselves heroes.
