I find the Trump Administration claiming that Democrats “stole” the election hilarious. It was Donald Trump that appointed a Postmaster General whose sole purpose was to make voters lose confidence in mail in ballots, slow the mail down to influence the election and pretty much try and destroy a service Americans have depended on for two centuries. Thanks to a Federal Judge and the hard working, dedicated postal workers this harmful plan did not work. It was Repubican Governors that also tried to take away our most precious right, the right to vote. A right that Americans died for, had attack dogs, fire hoses turned on them and the many Americans that had died for this right. It was a Republican Governor in Texas that removed ballot drop boxes and left only one drop box in each county. Many people had to drive hundreds of miles to cast their votes. It was the GOP in California that put out illegal and unauthorized ballot drop boxes and refused to remove them even after a judge ordered them to. It was in red states that made voting hard for people living in minority communities. Folks there had to wait hours in line to cast their vote. It was red states like Florida and Georgia that put roadblocks up for minority communities to make it hard or impossible to cast their vote. It was Trump supporters that went to polls with their banners, guns and signs to intimidate voters. The “steal the vote” march in Washington D.C. with the usual suspects, conspiracies theorists that flood the airwaves with lies, the Proud Boys who if this was Germany in the 1930’s would be called Storm Troopers or Brown Shirts, even the Nazi Party was there. No, Democrats did not “steal” the vote. Democrats played fair and won fair. Even with all the obstacles the Republicans put out there, people were so fed up with Trump they let nothing stand in their way to voice their opinion with their vote. For those Trump supporters who walk around with the Constitution in their pockets and praise our Founding Fathers, I say you better re-read the Constitution as it is obvious you don’t understand it. Also I say to them, we really can’t know what our Founding Fathers would say, but I am sure they would not support a person like Donald Trump.
