Montezuma County Ordinance No. 2-2015, which prohibits open fires and the use of fireworks in the unincorporated areas of Montezuma County, has been lifted by the Montezuma County Board of Commissioners.
Evidence of sufficient moisture throughout Montezuma County was presented to commissioners, and it was determined that the danger of wildfires has been reduced to more normal conditions.
