Girl Scouts of Colorado, Troop 2619 would like to thank Dr. Susan Grabbe, veterinarian, for meeting with our troop while we were working on our “Pets” and “Animal Habitats” badges.

We had arranged for a “Girl Scout Pets on Parade” event where each of the Girl Scouts were able to bring an animal or a picture of an animal that was their favorite and show them off to the rest of the troop and explain what they do to keep their pet happy and healthy. Dr. Grabbe’s personal knowledge and professional expertise with animals answered all of our questions regarding animals. Many in the troop were so inspired by Dr. Grabbe that at the end of the troop meeting, many stated that they would like to be a veterinarian too.

Dr. Grabbe was insightful and encouraged the Girl Scouts to explore becoming a veterinarian. The Girl Scouts especially loved visiting inside Dr. Grabbe’s MASH vehicle which stands for Mobile Animal Surgical Hospital.
