Easton LaChappelle, of Mancos, visited Dolores Elementary School for Career Day and talked with students about prosthetic arms he designed and earned him a meeting with President Barack Obama. LaChappelle made the parts for a limb using 3-D printers in his bedroom. The contraption was featured at the White House Science Fair in April, and he worked with NASA’s robotics team during an internship.
