San Juan Basin Archaeological Society to host virtual meeting

San Juan Basin Archaeological Society will host a virtual meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday via Zoom.

After a brief business meeting, Rand Greubel will present a talk called “Early Pueblo I: occupation of Florida Mesa site.” The site is in the area locally known as the Bridge to Nowhere. The talk may not be recorded, so participants will need to log in Wednesday.

Greubel has over 30 years of archaeological experience in the Intermountain West. He received his bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Colorado, Boulder and his master’s degree in archaeology and heritage from the University of Leicester, England. Greubel was a field-going archaeologist with Alpine for over 20 years, supervising large surveys and major archaeological excavations on prehistoric sites in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Wyoming.
