The purse was valued at $100 and contained debit cards driver’s license, Medicaid card and $22. 4:15 p.m.: A man reported that a license plate had been stolen from a trailer he parked at 300 Central Ave. 7:57 p.m.: A man reported that he might have been defrauded of $1,500 after sending money to someone with a Las Vegas phone number who claimed to be his bonding agent. 12:37 p.m.: A driver was arrested on a warrant in the 23000 block of County Road G and cited for failing to use a turn signal and driving with a revoked license. 6:35 p.m.: A man was cited for owning a dangerous dog after a resident reported that a dog had killed three chickens and a goose at her home in the 13500 block of U.S. 491. 1:37 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault, domestic violence, criminal mischief, child abuse and obstruction of phone services after a disturbance at a Cortez hotel. 6 p.m.: A woman reported that she had sent a total of $875 to a phone caller who said that she owned money to the IRS. 11:58 p.m.: A teen driver was cited for driving 100 mph in a 65 mph zone in the 16000 block of U.S. 491. 12:29 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment, third-degree assault and domestic violence in the 24300 block of County Road L. 9:28 p.m.: A man was arrested for violating a protection order in the 29000 block of County Road M. 9:11 a.m.: An electric pump worth $500 was reported stolen from a truck at the Cortez Cemetery, in the 27400 block of U.S. 160. 11:36 a.m.: A woman reported that someone had taken about 8 ounces of marijuana worth $400 from her property 21400 block of County Road P. 4:27 p.m.: A man and woman were remanded from District Court to the Montezuma County jail.
