The new bishop of the Anglican Diocese of the Southwest, Mark Zimmerman, will lead the Sunday celebration on April 27 at the Anglican Church of St. Philip the Evangelist.
Bishop Zimmerman began his career as a high school teacher and has served in the Peace Corps in Oman. He has served churches and missions in Canada, Bahrain, New Mexico and Pennsylvania.
Zimmerman is a gifted Bible teacher who can draw people together, minister to new believers and strengthen and unite congregations to fulfill God’s purposes.
Worship begins at 10:45 a.m. and will be followed by a get-acquainted dinner.
Zimmerman’s wife, Cynthia, will accompany him.
