Wednesday, Sept. 30

2:16 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

11:04 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest in the 1200 block of Montelores Avenue. Officers responded to a call of a man kicking his mother in the stomach. The man pointed a rifle at officers and made verbal threats. He resisted arrest and was uncooperative. He had a previous felony conviction. The mother declined to press charges. No one was injured.

Thursday, Oct. 1

9:03 a.m. Vandalism was reported in the area of Montezuma Avenue. A flower pot appeared to have been intentionally knocked over. An unhappy client was suspected, but no evidence was available.

9:12 a.m. Damage to four soccer goals was reported at Montezuma-Cortez High School, 418 S. Sligo St. Surveillance footage could not identify the suspects.

2:52 p.m. A male inmate was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, Oct. 2

6:50 a.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant and cited for violating a protection order by being in possession of marijuana in the 800 block of South Broadway.

8:23 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and trespassing and was cited for resisting arrest at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. He appeared to be highly intoxicated and was uncooperative.

Saturday. Oct. 3

1:27 p.m. A woman was arrested on an active warrant after an officer observed her urinating in public in the 20 block of North Park Street.

2:41 p.m. A hit-and-run crash was reported in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St. Video surveillance did not capture the crash.

9:06 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of third degree assault, harassment/domestic violence and protection order violation in the 400 block of East Main Street. He allegedly physically assaulted a woman and was uncooperative during the arrest.

Sunday, Oct. 4

1:49 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of shoplifting at City Market, 508 E. Main St. She was observed putting toothbrushes in her purse.

2:28 p.m. A car crash was reported in the parking lot of City Market, 508 E. Main St.

4:50 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order by consuming alcohol in the 20 block of South Harrison Street. An officer responded to a report of a fight in progress. The man was uncooperative and was restrained forcibly.

8:18 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and criminal possession of an identification document at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

Monday, Oct. 5

7:26 a.m. A female inmate was served a warrant for parole violation at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Tuesday, Oct. 6

10:54 a.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of menacing and violating two protection orders by consuming alcohol in the 800 block of East Main Street. She allegedly pulled a knife on a man.

1:52 p.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in the 700 block of West Seventh Street.
