Montezuma County Clerk to host virtual voter information meeting

Montezuma County Clerk Kim Percell will present voter information at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, via Zoom.

The program is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Montezuma County. The Zoom link will be available on the league’s Facebook page.

Percell will explain the responsibilities of the County Clerk’s Office, review Colorado’s mail-in ballot system, discuss the safeguards that prevent voter fraud and discuss the process of how ballots are counted.

Other topics will include how to check on the status of voter registration, what to do if a ballot is not received in the mail, how to make a correction if a mistake is made on a ballot, where drop boxes will be located across the county and other important aspects of the up-coming voting process.

The program is free and open to the public. A recoding will be available after the event on the league’s Facebook page.
