Saturday, Aug. 6

12:19 p.m.: A woman was cited for unsafe backing after a two-car accident at Cortez Cash and Trade in the 24000 block of County Road G.

2:07 p.m.: A man was questioned and released at the Ute Mountain Casino in Towaoc after a man matching his description was videotaped entering and leaving a van, disposing of personal items and shaving his head.

6:49 p.m.: A driver was arrested for DUI by the Colorado State Patrol after he allegedly rear-ended a car turning into a driveway off Colorado Highway 145 near mile marker 35. Several people in the rear-ended car reported that they had received minor bumps and bruises.

Sunday, Aug. 7

2:45 p.m.: A woman reported that someone had broken into a trailer that she owned in the 14500 block of Colorado Highway 145 in Dolores.

10:31 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant in the 30100 block of County Road H after being spotted at Wal-Mart.

8:30 p.m.: A red Ford pickup truck was towed two days after it had been tagged as abandoned in the 8000 block of County Road 41 in Mancos.

2:22 a.m.: A deputy assisted a Cortez Police officer in searching a vehicle for drugs at Driscoll St. and Montezuma Ave. One woman was placed into custody.

Monday, Aug. 8

8:05 a.m.: A woman reported that the windows of car, parked in the 11600 block of County Road 28.3, had been covered with a white substance and the a sexual epithet and drawing ad been drawn on them. She declined to press charges.
