Our endorsements will continue, addressing the 11 questions and multiple candidates, on one or two print days a week through Oct. 21. They will also be posted on the Journal’s website, under Editorials.
Why so soon? The ballot is a long one – Coloradans like ballot issues, either referred by the Legislature or created by gathering signatures – and the national headlines about the uncertainties surrounding mail-in voting may have Colorado voters more eager than usual to know the questions and plan their positions.
Readers might not agree with the Journal’s positions – gee, does that happen? – but how we arrive at them could be of interest. If you have what you think are better reasons for a vote, we are glad to print your letter. Voting is at the core of what this country stands for. Thank you.
