The Cortez Public Library will host a virtual Marketing 101 workshop with USA Today bestselling author DelSheree Gladden from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday via Zoom.

“With so many avenues of the publishing world opening up, getting noticed is more difficult than ever,” a news release said. “Building an author platform is key to avoid being swallowed up in today’s publishing world.”

Although the workshop will focus on book marketing, other business people may attend to learn more about marketing their product or business.

The workshop will provide guidance on how to use social media, offline marketing tactics, networking and blogging.

Gladden lives in Farmington and works part-time for Ballantine Communications Inc. Her “Invisible” was part of the USA Today bestselling box set “Pandora.”

The marketing event is free, but registration is required. Call 565-8117 or email CLeoncini@CityofCortez.com.
