Bill Gates is one of the world’s richest men, and he is against raising minimum wage. Allen Greenspan is too; so are 500 other wealthy business leaders. They think that raising minimum wage will hurt the economy, they think it will raise unemployment, they say that teenage unemployment is a direct result of minimum wage laws. Well, if raising the minimum wage is so negative, then it becomes clear what an enlightened and humane nation must do: It must lower minimum wage and thus enjoy less unemployment and social unrest and more justice and harmony for all. As a matter of fact, if raising the minimum wage is bad, then even having a minimum wage is bad as well. Why not give American Business the edge it needs and do away with wages altogether!
