Well, all good plans must have some flaw in them.

I thought I was so smart designating the date for the Great Mancos Art Roundup and Studio Tour - June 21. Then I got an email that the Durango Art Market would be the very same date! Oh well, I started the process early enough to change it to June 14.

That's right, it's going to be on Saturday, June 14. Last year, 22 artists participated. If you'd like to participate, call or email me. The fee is the same - $60 with no commission to the Arts Council. Let me know if you want to be in your studio, or you would prefer space downtown.

At the Cortez Cultural Center

There will be a reception and readings by Colorado Poet Laureate David Mason and Youth Poetry contest readers on April 18, 2014, 5-7 p.m. in the Gallery. This event is free to members; $5 for others.

On April 23 at 6:30 p.m., "A Story to Tell and a Song to Sing" featuring novelist, John Wright and singer/songwriter Marilyn Kroeker in the Gallery. Free to members; $5 for non-members.

In the cultural center gallery

It's not all about books

Watch as she demonstrates painting her meticulous interpretation of ancient Puebloan architecture. Come by to see her work, Mesa Verde Watercolors.
