I love my country. I served my country for two years with great pride and joy as a Peace Corps volunteer.
I am a Democrat. I was never invited to a meeting in which the Democrats raised money to hire rioters and looters to destroy cities. The Democrats I know prefer to look at a problem and work toward finding a solution.
Sadly, it seems that solutions are not on the menu anymore. Instead, it seems that we are offered up a daily serving of name-calling and blaming. Vitriolic rhetoric never made any country great.
We are great only when we come together, listen to one another and work as a unit to solve our problems.
