Tuesday, June 23

2:02 p.m. A motorcycle was reported stolen in the 500 block of Riverside Avenue. It was last seen June 11. At 3 a.m. June 16, a neighbor reported the owner’s dogs were “going crazy” while the owner was out of town. There were no suspects.

Monday, July 6

5:49 p.m. A female inmate was cited on suspicion of assaulting a jail deputy at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. The woman was uncooperative and scratched the deputy on his arms.

Thursday, July 9

6:17 p.m. Two men were reported missing while hiking in the area of Shark’s Tooth and Bear Creek. The men were located safe and unharmed several hours later at Gold Run hiking trail.

Friday, July 17

1:26 p.m. A 1996 Toyota T100 pickup was reported stolen in the 45900 block of U.S. Highway 160. The garage door lock was broken and the truck was last seen July 8. There were no suspects.

Saturday, July 18

4:48 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of driving an uninsured vehicle and failing to display valid registration in the 1100 block of Hillside Avenue, Dolores.

Monday, July 20

6:40 a.m. Tools and equipment were reported stolen from a worksite in the 12500 block of County Road 40. Three compartment padlocks were cut off a trailer. There were no suspects.

12:51 p.m. A male inmate was served with warrants for three counts of failure to appear and another male inmate was served with warrants for two counts of failure to appear at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7:09 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended license in the 18000 block of U.S. Highway 491.

Tuesday, July 21

4:18 p.m. A male inmate was served with warrants for two counts of contempt of court at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Wednesday, July 22

8:03 a.m. A woman was arrested on an active warrant out of New Mexico during a traffic stop in the 10000 block of County Road 25. The issuing county declined extradition and she was later released.

11:43 a.m. A male inmate was served with a warrant for failure to comply at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:55 p.m. A male inmate was cited on suspicion of harassment and obstructing a peace officer at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. The man put a telephone provided to him in the toilet. He was moved to another cell so the phone could be replaced. When he was moved back to his cell, he became combative and grabbed a female jail deputy’s shirt front and began to resist. Another deputy assisted in returning him to his cell.

4:24 p.m. A vehicle was reported stolen in the 17800 block of County Road 30. The owner had gone to the swim beach with a friend and the car was gone when she returned to where she had parked it.

4:41 p.m. A male inmate was served with a warrant for failure to appear at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Thursday, July 23

12:36 a.m. A woman was bitten by a friend’s dog in the 28300 block of County Road K.2. The woman was bitten on the arm and had two puncture wounds. The dog was ordered to be quarantined for 11 days.

1:57 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant for failure to comply at Montezuma Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

7:59 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant for domestic abuse and assault in the 28600 block of U.S. Highway 491.

Friday, July 24

1:37 p.m. A man driving a semitrailer turned right from the left turn lane, cutting off another driver and almost causing a crash, in the 1 block of North Texas Street. The driver will be cited.

7:59 p.m. A firearm in an orange gun lock was found 200 to 300 yards from the boat ramp at McPhee Reservoir. The serial number was checked and found to be clear. The owner was unknown.

Saturday, July 25

2:43 a.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 26400 block of County Road H. A sleeping man was found inside the vehicle. He had multiple injuries to his face and arms. He stated he got into a fight at a party, but refused medical treatment and did not want to press charges. He was given a ride home.

Sunday, July 26

1:47 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of driving without a valid license and unsafe passing in the 16000 block of Colorado Highway 145.
