Wednesday, July 15

6:50 a.m. A 2003 Chevrolet Silverado was reported stolen in the 600 block of Wyoming Street. The vehicle went missing between 11:45 p.m. July 14 and 6:45 a.m. July 15. It was entered into NCIC/CCIC.

8:41 a.m. A man was cited on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, speeding, no proof of insurance, driving without a valid license and open container in the 1 block of North Mildred Road.

2:54 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary, unlawful distribution, violating a protection order and unlawful possession of a schedule 2 narcotic in the 700 block of East Third Street. A break-in was reported and the suspect’s description matched a person known to the officer. The suspect was searched, and the stolen property and other drugs and drug paraphernalia were found.

3:55 p.m. A man passed out in the bathroom of a store in the 1800 block of East Main Street. Syringes, a knife and a packet of meth were confiscated. The man was asked to leave the store after medics cleared him.

10:41 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of failure to notify police of a crash and careless driving in the 700 block of Memorial Drive. A hit-and-run crash was reported. A truck was hit and pushed into a van. The suspect returned to the scene July 17 and exchanged insurance information with the victims and was issued a citation.

Thursday, July 16

3:29 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted aggravated robbery, felony menacing and criminal impersonation in the 700 block of East Main Street. A man attempted to rob another man and threatened him with a BB gun. He became aggressive and was forcibly taken into custody.

Friday, July 17

7:32 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of operating an uninsured vehicle in the 300 block of South Beech Street. The man had been cited for multiple driving offenses the previous day. The vehicle was towed.

Saturday, July 18

10:57 a.m. Damaged property was reported in the 200 block of West Main Street. A high speed internet cable was cut at a business.

Sunday, July 19

10:02 a.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and assault in the 100 block of North Beech Street. An argument between a man and woman turned physical and the woman struck the man several times.

8:44 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant for violating parole with a national extradition order in the 600 bock of East Main Street. He had passed out in front of a hotel.

Monday, July 20

10:31 a.m. A car crash occurred in the area of West Main Street and Linden Street. A pedestrian ran out in front of a car, and driver braked to avoid the pedestrian. The car behind was unable to stop and rear-ended the vehicle. There was minor damage.

4:21 p.m. A car crash was reported in the parking lot of City Market, 508 E. Main St. A women pulled too far into a parking space and hit the car in front of her. She stated the brakes were not working well. No citations were issued.

5:08 p.m. A burglary was reported in the 500 block of East Second Street. A fence slat had been broken and a window had been pried open. A pair of shoes were taken from the residence. The suspect was contacted and he admitted to breaking the fence, but stated he was allowed to be on the property by the woman and that they had gotten into an argument and he left.

5:15 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, careless driving and operating an uninsured vehicle in the 2800 block of Main Street. The woman ran into the back of a Winnebago, causing extensive damage to her vehicle. She could not satisfactorily complete roadside maneuvers, and a portable breath test indicated a level above the legal limit.

6:51 p.m. A violation of a protection order was reported at City Market, 508 E. Main St. A man got into a woman’s car and demanded to be driven to a liquor store. The woman had multiple protection orders against the man, and he was on bond and had two active warrants. Previous protection order violations had also occurred. It was requested the District Attorney amend charges to include this incident.

Tuesday, July 21

8:54 a.m. A man was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant for failure to comply in the 400 block of South Broadway.

11:27 a.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order, violation of bond and obstructing a police officer in the 500 block of East Main Street. The woman was exhibiting irrational behavior and causing disturbances throughout town.

9:22 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order in the 1500 block of South Broadway. Video surveillance showed the man entering a property he had been trespassed from.
