In conjunction with local artists, residents, and organizations, the Mancos Creative District is offering youth programming this summer that aims to spur creativity and promote a love of the outdoors.
Three free programs will be provided for people ages 13-18, with funding provided by a grant from the Montezuma Inspire Coalition, which is funded by Great Outdoors Colorado.
“The partnership with the Montezuma Inspire Coalition furthers our goal by providing more creative and engaging cultural activities for our youth in helping them connect with the environment and our community,” said Betsy Harrison, Mancos Creative District board member, in a statement.
The programs are:
Outdoor Adventure Kids, which allows participants to work with kids between ages 6 and 12 to develop various outdoor challenges.
