Library looking for more feedback

This year is off to a rapid start, and the first month is already behind us.

We're looking forward to a great year at the Mancos Public Library as we work to improve our programs, services and collections to meet the informational, educational and entertainment needs of the Mancos community.

However, the library still needs more feedback. There are a few ways to participate:

Complete the feedback survey at Mancos Library.org or pick up a paper copy at the library. If you've completed a survey in the past couple of months, you don't need to complete another one.

Next, participate in our focus group to help the library understand your needs and interests as well as an opportunity to provide input into plans. We will meet on Feb. 24 (time to be determined). If you're interested, call Lee Hallberg at (970) 533-7600.

Finally, get involved. The best way to understand operations and needs of the library is to get your hands dirty. Volunteers are on the front lines, helping us to improve everyone's library experience. Contact the library to help out.

The library thanks everyone who contributed donations.

The library sent out mailings to all residents in the library district asking for an annual donation.

Contributions have helped raise more than $15,000 for the library's programs and services, such as computers with Internet access so community members can file taxes and apply for jobs, and the Summer Reading Program, which gives kids a fun incentive to offset summer "learning loss."
